Children are introduced to Tamil by learning the letters of the alphabet. They also spend time understanding conversations in Tamil and practicing how to respond

Children learn the 12 vowels (உயிரெழுத்துக்கள்) and 18 consonants (மெய்யெழுத்துக்கள்). They also begin to explore the 216 compound letters formed by combining vowels and consonants. Kids will identify letters, pronounce them correctly, reading and writing of the letters.

Children will further their understanding of the 216 compound letters created by combining vowels and consonants, and they will also learn Tamil numerals. They will develop proper sentence construction skills by applying grammar concepts covered this year, such as pronouns, singular/plural forms, subject/object/predicate relationships, tenses, and first/second/third person.

Children will advance their ability to construct sentences correctly by applying grammar concepts introduced this year, including pronouns, singular/plural forms, subject/object/predicate relationships, tenses, and first/second/third person perspectives. As the year progresses, students will focus on improving their writing skills through enhanced lessons from 3A and related activities

Children will transition to exploring advanced writing concepts, stimulating their imagination to create stories and essays based on pictures or given situations. They will enhance their reading skills by engaging with longer stories and expanding their vocabulary.

Children will fluently and clearly read sentences, using correct pronunciation and inflection. They will summarize key ideas from their study passages and respond to questions using proper sentence formation. Students will explore diverse essay-writing techniques to enhance narrative depth and include elaborate details. Children will study advanced grammar concepts typically taught at the secondary level.

Children will advance the reading/writing/interactive skills they learnt in Class 4. As the year progresses, students will focus on improving their skills through enhanced lessons from 5A and related activities.

Children will learn advanced grammar concepts like Vetrumai Urubu, Echcham, Subject/Object/Predicates etc., They will refine their writing abilities through extended essay assignments, enriching their vocabulary and enhancing their overall communication skills.

Children will learn advanced grammar concepts like Vetrumai Urubu, Punarchi, Echcham etc., By the time they reach this stage, they will speak Tamil fluently. They will write essays with correct grammar and read and write Tamil compositions accurately. Children will be coached and trained for the TVA Intermediate exam.

Children will delve into advanced grammar concepts typically taught at higher levels. They will communicate fluently with peers in spoken Tamil, demonstrating advanced proficiency in expressing ideas through written essays. They will comprehend simple poems and songs, grasp various idioms and proverbs, and effectively incorporate them into their own sentences.
